About Me

Hello! My name is Olive, but you probably know me as Looma. Im glad you found your way to my page. Here you can learn a little bit about me and what I do.

I consider myself primarily an artist/musician with a passion for computer engineering and vintage technology. I've been producing for around 5 years and have worked on many tracks. Aside from my hobbies, I am a cat-lover and student. During summers I work at a synthesizer store and spend time with friends and family.

I have experience as a Social Media Specialist at Patchwerks 1 , and as a Freelance Visual Asset Designer for my company- Looma Music LLC 2 . Both of which rely on the use of social media to promote sales and engagement. I primarily specialize in the use of TikTok and Instagram 3 . In my first quarter of employment at Patchwerks I was able to grow the company’s official Patchwerks TikTok account from under 1,000 followers to over 20,000. Similarly my own personal Looma Music account experienced a massive amount of growth during this time. By studying analytics and the performance of videos, I was able to determine how social media algorithms function. This gave me the upper hand when it came to producing content that people engage with.

My work for Looma Music LLC includes the production of visual assets for companies and individuals such as VICE i-D 4 , Vicinity, various musicians 5 , and countless others. These visual assets are created using an analog vector scope via waveform coordinate mapping. Essentially by using the left and right audio channels as XY coordinates, I am able to synthesize waveforms to display images. This is known as "Oscilloscope Music" 6 , though it is often performed on a vectorscope which is a type of oscilloscope. Programs I use regularly include Adobe Illustrator, Blender, OsciStudio, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, FL Studio, Audacity, and others.

I am experienced with Shopify and Squarespace, as I have designed and curated my own website and product listings. I’m also currently working as a video editor, where I primarily work with Adobe Premiere & After Effects.

Currently I am studying at WWU-Fairhaven as an Audio Tech & Comp Sci major. I plan on developing audio software for music production. Some of my developed software includes a VST called SynBird which is a simulation based virtual synthesizer, that emulates the calls of birds.

If you are interested in employing me, or just have questions about what I do, feel free to reach out! I’d love to chat. Thank you for your interest.
