1.5 The Shapes of Sound

In musical synthesis there are standard shapes that you will see very often, each has a distinct characteristic that makes it useful in some capacity. The unique characteristics are attributed to the harmonic composition of each shape. The shape you will encounter the most frequently is the sawtooth shape.
